The Kansas ChamberPAC Endorses Representative Peggy Mast for Legislature
Topeka, Kan (June 30, 2006) -- The Board of Directors of The Kansas Chamber Political Action Committee has endorsed Representative Peggy Mast for election to the Kansas House of Representatives.

"Representative mast has exceeded the rigorous pro-business standards established by The Kansas ChamberPAC Board of Directors," said Lew Ebert, president of The Kansas Chamber of Commerce. "Representative Mast demonstrates a pro-employer approach to public policy decisions and has exercised personal leadership to improve the Kansas business climate," he added.

The ChamberPAC endorses exceptional lawmakers and candidates who establish themselves as pro-business through their deeds and their actions. The selection process is rigorous and focuses soley on business issues that impact the Kansas economy.

This endorsement was included in the first round of ChamberPAC endorsements made before the August 1 primary election. Kansas ChamberPAC's endorsed candidates support the tenets of free enterprise and commit themselves to improve the business climate.

They display a record that reflects a pro-employer approach to public policy decisions and exercise personal leadership to improve the Kansas business climate. Incumbent candidates are evaluated for votes for Jobs First Agenda issues, leadership in committee work, on the floor during debate, and their work behind the scenes. Non-incumbent candidates are evaluated on candidate questionnaires, interviews and input from local communities.

The Kansas Chamber Jobs First Agenda includes legislative initiatives on health-care cost containment, improving the legal climate, improving the workers comp system, improving the unemployment comp system, and creating a more business-friendly tax climate.
