Here is a list of the Committees and task forces Peggy Mast serves on, either as part of the Legislature or through external organizations that focus on legislative issues: Vice Chair of Health and Human Services -- This commiteee looks into the health needs of individuals across the state. Utilities -- This committee deals with all of the energy issues, communications, etc. Social Services Budget Committee -- This committee deals with funding of all of the social services agencies. Legislative Post Audit Committee -- This commitee has the ability of investigating any agency or actions of any state funded entities. It is currently investigating the funding issue for schools in Kansas. Vice Chair of Kansas Legislative Education and Research -- This committees evaluate each piece of legislation using the LIFT principle: Limited Government, Individual Freedom, Family Values and the effect on the taxpayer. Criminal Justice Task Force for American Legislative Exchange Council. Peggy has recently accepted a position to serve on the Sexual Predatory Task Force as well. Peggy also serves on Healthy Kansans 2010 which is attempting to address the needs of healthy living in the future of Kansans.
