Rep. Mast Presented with Award as Distinguished Community Health Defender
State Representative Peggy Mast was recently presented with an award recognizing her as 2008 Distinguished Community Health Defender @ the Flinthills Community Health Center.

Representative Mast has worked on the Health and Human Services Committee for the past eleven years and has served for six years as the vice-chairman on that committee. She has also served as vice-chair of Social Services Committee for the past two years and served on that committee for four years. “This has given me the opportunity to see the importance of our local community health centers” states Mast. “They are there to provide a medical home for so many in our local communities and supply needed health care on a sliding scale to make health care affordable to everyone.” The award was given by the Kansas Association for the Medically underserved.
